Great news! We have listened to our customers and have implemented a new “Advanced” feature for tariffs for a reservation. This feature will allow you to add multiple tariffs to a single reservation and choose which days of the stay that they apply.
For Example, this will allow you to make a reservation with a mixture of B&B and Full Board options with the customer choosing to have different meal options for different nights of their stay. There are many other instances where you could want to have different tariffs applicable to each night of the booking, this new “Advanced” option will allow you to have this level of control.
We have added a new option to the Tariff setup for tariffs that cover multiple nights. e.g. a 3 night weekend special. You can now choose to have the entire stay billed on the first night as a single charge. In the past the tariff would be charged pro-rata on a per night basis which could end up with rounding issues being charged to suspense. With the first night charge option this problem is eliminated and the bill reads much better and is clearer to the customer.
Mainstay will now store your latest backup each day in the cloud. Every day the latest backup will be encrypted and sent directly to our Cloud Backup server. With our Cloud Backup you no longer need to worry about off-site backups, copying to a USB stick or anything else. If the worst should happen and you need to recover you can be sure that the data is safe and we can have you up and running again quickly. The Cloud Backup is secure and your data is encrypted to ensure compliance with Data Protection.

Most of our Mainstay customers have now upgraded to version 3.5. The upgrades are Free under support so there is no reason not to keep up to date and enjoy the benefits of the new features.
If you have not yet upgraded please call our support to arrange a date to do so. We will schedule the upgrade at a time to suit you. The upgrade will normally take less that an hour to install so you will have minimal downtime.

We have added support for the Samtouch Epos systems and as part of our drive to bring the best for you we will be adding new Epos systems in the future. If you have a preferred Epos system then let us know and we will endeavour to bring that into our supported list.
The new release has been fully tested and certified for Windows 8 & Windows 10, safeguarding the future for the customers. *Support Note* If you upgrade to Windows 10, by default the regional settings are for American date format. This will need to be changed to UK format to be compatible with Mainstay. Contact our support if you have any questions.
